Purpose: The purpose of the Missions Council and IMPACT Projects is to both be obedient to and to teach the evangelism and missiology emphasis of Acts 1:8. The Council shall develop an active program of missions / evangelism based upon the strategic plan of operations approved by the President and the Board of Directors. The Council shall be responsible to recruit and train its membership and to promote and develop a base of financial support for the implementation of these approved programs. An annual plan and budget shall be submitted to the President prior to the annual Strategic Planning Session for Covington Theological Seminary. Approval and implementation of each strategic plan will be for the school year beginning with the spring semester. Annual reports, including receipts and expenditures, will be submitted to the Board of Directors.

The Missions Council will be appointed by the President and will serve for a term based upon mutual agreement of the President and the members. The primary responsibility of the council lies with the current and long-term strategy and implementation of the IMPACT and missions/evangelism projects. The council shall not operate independently of the President and the Board of Directors.
